who we are

We are an outreach ministry of Gateway Fellowship of Millersburg, Ohio [www.gatewayusa.org] whose desire it is to join arms with the community to reach out to our friends and neighbors in need. The backbone of the Food Pantry is the many volunteers from local churches spanning across denominational lines who serve faithfully each week. Community support also comes in a variety of ways from individuals, civic groups and businesses from throughout the county and beyond. Together we care and want to share our resources and blessings to those less fortunate.

serving since 1986

The Love Center Food Pantry has been assisting families with emergency food supplies since 1986. Presently nearly 900 Holmes County families find help and support through its services each year.

The pantry operates as a "Choice" Food Pantry which resembles a grocery store. This allows clients to choose the products that are most suitable for their families' needs. It is a member agency of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank of Northeast Ohio.

Note: With the onset of COVID-19, we currently are unable to serve clients inside the building. Clients can pick up their prepacked groceries outside as they drive-thru in their vehicles.Thank you for your understanding.

our mission

Our mission is to demonstrate and share the love of Christ by providing free food to area residents who find themselves in circumstances where they cannot afford to purchase basic food items. We strive to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere where all are treated with dignity and respect. Our goal is excellence as we simply do the best with what we have. Our heart is to love God and to love people. Our passion is compassion.

our directors

Under the dedicated leadership of Directors Edgar and Polly Raber, the pantry is managed with skill and precision. Their heartfelt compassion for the people they serve and for their family of volunteers, sets just the right atmosphere for love to abound.
